Antique Late 19th c. Mother of Pearl + Brass Chatelaine Perfume Bottle

Measures 3.5″L x 1.5″W. Antique circa late 19th century (1880-1900) chatelaine perfume/snuff bottle with pink iridescent mother of pearl shell body and brass detailing. Slide fob cap with original cork. Interior of bottle has natural enclosed shape with one single small hole for the oils/perfumes/etc. Very delicate and feminine. Was worn at the waist belt of the ladies of the time period referred to as a “Chatelaine”. Chatelaines were a sort of utilitarian tool belt for the ladies holding items such as perfume bottles, sewing kits, wax seals, pocket knives, etc.
